Our Story
For years I struggled with who I was and insecurities of not being accepted. My journey started with being raised in the 80’s.
My childhood seemed pretty normal (or what appeared to be normal), and I always felt the need to serve and help people. As I grew up, I had dreams and aspirations of being my own boss, living this fake life of luxury, seeking what others had, and wanting to be someone I was not.
In 1998, the year I graduated from high school, I was kicked out of my house because of my own doing, and I lived from couch to couch for months until I finally reconciled with my mother. She allowed me back, which was one of many turning points to develop into who I am today.
Once I graduated from high school, I decided to become my own boss, not for any other reason, but because I didn’t want to work for anyone else; so I started MAD solutions detailing a mobile detailing business turned out to be pretty successful. However, money was such a driving force in my mind that I decided to work for other companies that I could essentially quit if I didn’t like them. It was not until 2003 when things again started to fall apart, and when drugs and alcohol began to become the only thing that I thought about. I had to make another life change, so I turned to the military.
In 2004 I joined the military and found my calling. I started to find out that I could help people find their way by telling how my life was, and how I have built into who I am today, but I still had growing to do.
After years of being in the military and finding that I have the gift of building people up through exhorting positive influences, I realized this is what I wanted to do and become.
This brings me to the present and has been the question I have been contemplating for some time. Do I start telling people my story and help others? This is what I am going to do. So why am I doing this? Besides a recent significant emotional event (a “SEE” moment is a term some of us Equal Opportunity Advisors use), I have finally felt that there is something more to what I do daily that can help others.
My passion in this life has been flourishing by developing people and taking them to the next level. Leadership is just one of my passions. If I can impact only one person in this capacity, I have been effective. I have learned that I genuinely enjoy watching others succeed. I will take the time to work with each person to develop specific ways to help them along their path on what THEY are looking to accomplish.
I believe that we must follow to lead and lead to follow. I believe that we will never be any better than where we are now at this present moment until we are allowed to grow even more.
Overcome HQ (headquarters) will be the foundation where we can help in people’s growth and leadership, serve those in life, leadership, career, and financial coaching & mentoring, and help them overcome the many obstacles.
I chose this approach because we, as people, feel that things in this world become too complicated, and we need to look to others for help in what our challenges are. I want to ensure that everyone I come in contact with feels comfortable enough to ask questions to help them overcome their specific situation.
The tools that will be discussed much of my personal story will be told here to share with others that may be going through some of the same struggles. What my story holds may or may not sound familiar; however, it is mine. I want to share my experiences because I think there is something greater then what we do every day.
I, for one, had to overcome things from a young age. I have watched alcohol destroy families and make people do things they never wanted to do. I have watched friends and families go in and out of facilities, lost loved ones, friends, and almost my children at one point. Now I am looking to show that people who care through life experiences and leadership don’t always have to end up with a negative outcome.
In the end, my hope will be to take everyone to the next level by developing a program that will help people evolve into great leaders of now and the future.
It was when I realized that I was loved for who I was. I no longer had to live a life hiding my true self to where I could break down the wall of adversity. NOW it is my turn to seek and find those who may have felt the same way to bring them life and encouragement.
Our goal is to be successful in every aspect of both personal and professional life. If you have ever felt that you can no longer move on in your life, we will help you OVERCOME.
